As we prepared for the "rites of passage" that occur at the end of a high school career  -- prom, senior trip, graduation -- it became vital that we provided a message, that students would take seriously, of the impact of their choices. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I promise I will never use drugs. We've heard so many stories in health class this year but I have to say yours moved me the most. Many of the kids including me look up to you as an extremely strong person because even though you had a horrible accident…you set your goals high.  I hope you have fun teaching. By the way you talked to us I know you're going to be a great teacher and the kids will love you.  Have a good time in years ahead of you at PSU!

Dear Keith,
I can't thank you enough for coming to my school!  I honestly have never really gripped the fact of the dangers of doing drugs but actually seeing a victim of things that can happen to you when you use drugs. I am very serious about that, you really made an impact on my life.
When I got home I told my mom how amazing I think it is that instead of pitying yourself you're doing things to stop kids from doing what you did.  I don't know if I could do that!  I can't thank you enough!
